ScottClark4tet album “A&B” now available for download (and in person)

I am happy to announce that the ScottClark4tet album is officially available for download via our bandcamp site. (http://scottclark4tet.bandcamp.com/)
We had a great show celebrating the release of the album and we were fortunate to have Tim Daisy and Jeb Bishop play a duo set to start out the night.
Their set was amazing and they are touring in support of their new duo album “Old Shoulders”.  You can find more information about their album and how to get a copy on Tim’s website.  (http://timdaisy.wordpress.com/).
Thanks to everyone for coming out to the show and showing your support.

Physical copies of our record are also available for $10 (partially hand painted by yours truly).  Send me an email if you would like to purchase one.

We will be playing on Sunday June 10th at the Commercial Taphouse in Richmond (9:30pm FREE), and we will have cds available at that show.
(there may also be a special guest at the show….stay tuned for more info)

More soon…
Thanks again for the support

ScottClark4tet cd release show May 22nd @ The Camel (w/Tim Daisy and Jeb Bishop duo!)

Well, the time has finally come.  Tuesday May 22nd will be the official release of the first ScottClark4tet album “A & B”…and we will be celebrating with a great show at The Camel in Richmond, VA featuring two truly great musicians from Chicago, Tim Daisy– drums and Jeb Bishop– trombone.  Some of you may remember Jeb Bishop from his amazing show at The Camel with his trio (opening for NO BS!).  Tim Daisy has also been to Richmond a few times playing some great shows with Ken Vandermark.  This is the first time that Tim and Jeb are traveling as a duo and they are touring in support of their new record “Old Shoulders”.
(You can read their press release below)

Also, in case you missed it, last week we were on the CBS 6 morning show called “Virginia This Morning”.  If you weren’t able to see it live, you can watch it here.

Exciting Shows On The Horizon

There are some great shows on the horizon for the 4tet….with some amazing musicians from both in and out of town.  First on Tuesday March 27th we will be sharing a bill at Balliceaux with the duo of drummer Brian Jones and saxophonist JC Kuhl.  Next we return to the Commercial Taphouse on Sunday April 1st for a free show.

Then 2 big shows later in the month of April.  First, on April 12th at The Camel, we will be playing with New York’s amazing Endangered Blood made up of Trevor Dunn-bass, Jim Black-drums, Chris Speed-sax and Oscar Noriega-sax.
The following week we’ll be sharing the stage with a trio of great musicians from Chicago and Switzerland featuring Josh Berman– cornet, Fred Lonberg-Holm– cello, and Christoph Erb– saxophone.  This show will be happening at FORInstance Gallery on April 19th.

On May 15th we will be performing for the Listening Room series at the Firehouse Theater with Richmond’s Near Earth Objects.
And then on May 22nd at The Camel, we will be releasing our first album.  For that show we will be sharing the stage with more great musicians from Chicago.  This time it will be the duo of Tim Daisy- drums and Jeb Bishop- trombone.

I know it’s a lot of music in a short time (not to mention all of the other great music that is always happening in RVA!) but it’s exciting to have such great musicians from out of town interested in coming to Richmond to share their music.

We’re also working out a small tour in May in support of the album….stay tuned for details on that.
Thanks to everyone for their support and come support live music!
