A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting and hosting Jason Crane, the creator of the Jazz Session Podcast, while he was in Richmond. Jason has been on a “Jazz or Bust Tour” of the country, traveling by Greyhound Bus to various cities and interviewing musicians along the way. (as well as reading his poetry wherever possible). You can find out more information about the Jazz Session, Jason’s poetry and the Jazz or Bust Tour on his website at http://jasoncrane.org/
While he was in town we were able to sit down and do an interview about the ScottClark4tet, our new album “A&B” and all things Richmond. Here is the link to listen to the interview and a link to the digital version of our record.

This is a great thing that Jason is doing and if you would like to help support him on his tour you can do so by making a donation to his trip or by helping him find places to stay along the way.
You can follow him on twitter as well at @JasonDCrane
If you’d like to hear more interviews, Jason has interviewed many Richmond musicians or musicians with ties to Richmond (and just about any other jazz musician you could want to listen to). Just check out the Jazz Session website to hear interviews with Reggie Pace, Matt White, Darius Jones, Scott Burton and others.
